God Isn’t Asking You to Be Perfect—Just Willing

Some days, even after doing something meaningful, doubt creeps in quietly.
It happened to me the day after I spoke at an evangelism service. I should have been celebrating what God had done, but instead, I found myself replaying every word. Did I say the right thing? Did I represent God well? Was I good enough?
And then—comparison came knocking. That silent thief that tries to steal your joy and question your worth. I started thinking about all the people who seem more polished, more eloquent, more everything. Before I knew it, I was shrinking.
But in the middle of my spiraling thoughts, I felt a gentle reminder:“I never asked you to be perfect. I just asked you to be willing.”
That stopped me in my tracks.
God wasn’t measuring my grammar or grading my delivery. He was looking at my heart. He was pleased with my yes—with the way I showed up in obedience, even with my nerves and imperfections.
So I want to say this to you, sis:
If you’ve been hesitating to step out because you don’t feel ready…
If you’re questioning whether you’re qualified to do what’s in your heart…
If you’ve been holding back because you're afraid, you’ll mess it up…
Let me remind you of something powerful:
God isn’t calling you to be flawless. He’s calling you to be faithful.
He can do more with a willing vessel than a perfect performance.
He pours His power into our weakness.
He shows up when we show up.
And that’s enough.
Sometimes the greatest thing God is about to do starts with your willingness to stand up and say yes.
What’s something you’ve been putting off because you don’t feel “ready enough”?
What would it look like to just say yes—right where you are?
