Sis, breathe deeply

Don’t Forget to Breathe, Sis 🌬️
I’ll be the first to admit—I’ve never been one for deep breathing exercises or meditation. But lately, I’ve noticed my body asking me to slow down, pause, and take those deep breaths that calm my nervous system. With everything swirling in the world right now, sometimes the most spiritual, powerful thing we can do is stop and breathe.
Lately, I’ve been noticing how much the weight of injustice, inactivity, and isolation can press on us. These three things have a way of draining our hope if we let them. But they don’t have to consume us. Let’s break them down together:
1. Injustice
We cannot ignore the pain and brokenness we see around us. Whether it’s injustice in the headlines or unfairness in our own lives, we are called to stand.
Standing doesn’t always mean marching in the streets. Sometimes it’s speaking up when it’s easier to be silent. Sometimes it’s teaching our children truth. And sometimes it’s interceding in prayer when we feel powerless. However you stand, know that your stand matters.
2. Inactivity
The weight of the world can keep us stuck—paralyzed in thought or scrolling endlessly through the news. But our bodies were created for movement. Movement is a reminder that life still flows through us.
As the seasons shift and the air cools, let your body remind your spirit—you are alive. Go for that walk, stretch your arms wide, dance to your favorite song. Each step forward is a declaration: I’m still here. I’m still moving.
3. Isolation
Sometimes the only way to protect our peace is to step away. Isolate from the negativity. Unplug from voices that stir fear or division. Choose wisely who and what gets your energy.
Solitude with God restores, while constant exposure to chaos drains. You don’t owe your soul to the noise.
Sis, I don’t know all the battles you’re facing, but I know this: you are not powerless. You have breath in your body, strength in your soul, and purpose in your steps. Breathe deep. Stand tall. Move forward. Protect your peace.
You don’t have to carry the world, but you can carry hope—and that’s enough.
With every breath, may you feel God’s strength carrying you, even when the road ahead feels uncertain.💜
Walking forward in Purpose,
Monica
